My visit to Esfahan, as part of an official invitation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, was an experience that touched both the mind and the soul. Known as Nesf-e Jahan (half the world), Esfahan indeed felt like a world within itself, where history, culture, and human warmth converge in harmony. Walking through the magnificent Naqsh-e Jahan Square, I was struck not just by its architectural brilliance, but by the living heritage it embodies. A memorable highlight was my lunch meeting with the Hon’ble Deputy Mayor, where we exchanged views on urban identity and cultural diplomacy. Visiting the Armenian Church and its museum revealed the deeply pluralistic spirit of Esfahan, a city where diverse communities have lived side by side for centuries with dignity and mutual respect. The kindness of the people, the quiet elegance of the streets, and the timeless wisdom etched into every corner of the city left a lasting imprint on me. Esfahan is not just a place one visits, it is a place one carries within.
