It was my first time in Isfahan and I fell completely in love with it, blown away by the beauty of the city. The Iranians are right to say that “Isfahan is half the world.” What makes this splendid city so special is its beauty, its cultural and historical richness. Isfahan has been one of Iran's showcases for centuries: the capital of an empire under the Safavid dynasty, it boasts some of the most beautiful monuments in Iran, gardens that made the Romantics dream, and an art of living all its own, with its bazaar, bridges, gastronomy and so many other marvels. I was dazzled by its magnificent mosques, ancient palaces and extraordinary architecture. I was particularly lucky to come here during Isfahan's Cultural Week, which enabled me to learn a lot about its history and cultural diversity. It was a trip that left a deep impression on me, and helped me strengthen my general culture and my address book. I'm going home with a feeling of incompleteness, as I didn't have the time to visit more of this incredible city, but I'll be back very soon for sure.
